Utah Bound Orientation
Welcome! We’re looking forward to seeing you on campus this fall! In the meantime, this page gives you a checklist of all you need to know about Utah Bound orientation for incoming Honors students. You’ll find options for on-campus and virtual orientations for both first-time and transfer students.
Incoming First-Year Students (1-day Orientation on Campus)

Location: Gardner Commons (GC) 2675
The Honors Advising Team will give an overview of the Honors College, covering degree requirements and the first-year learning community. We’ll also distribute a handout to help with first-semester course planning.

- After selecting your courses, register for HONOR 1010 (any section besides 024 and 025). This is a required course for all first-year Honors students.
- Consider adding another core Honors course to your schedule. This is a great way to fulfill a general education requirement, in addition to an Honors one!
After orientation, if you have more questions or need help registering for Honors classes, schedule an appointment, with an Honors Advisor or email us at advising@honors.utah.edu
