Each academic department submits the specific requirements that must be met for a successful Honors thesis in its respective major. If you are seeking more information on your department’s thesis requirements, please contact your Departmental Honors Liaison and/or the Honors Thesis Team in the Honors College.

Faculty Thesis Mentors

Tenure track faculty and graduate school approved Career Line faculty members could chair/mentor the thesis process.

Collaborative Theses

SPED has no current structure to allow for collaborative thesis

Joint Thesis

This would be evaluated by the students graduate committee chair and dependent on the joint planning with all the participating departments

How does the Honors Thesis relate to other aspects of the major, like a Capstone Project?

It is a capstone project (with two parts, the qualifying exam and the thesis defense)
Students register for thesis hours (1-7 credits)
