Each academic department submits the specific requirements that must be met for a successful Honors thesis in its respective major. If you are seeking more information on your department’s thesis requirements, please contact your Departmental Honors Liaison and/or the Honors Thesis Team in the Honors College.

Faculty Thesis Mentors

Career-line faculty and tenure-line faculty are eligible. If a faculty member leaves while working with a student, the DHL will facilitate another faculty member taking over.

How does the Honors Thesis relate to other aspects of the major, like a Capstone Project?

Typically, the honors thesis relates to the final senior capstone project, however, other theoretical Games work can also be considered.

Departmental coursework supporting Thesis

No specific course is designed to support the thesis at this time (other than the 2 senior capstone classes).

Additional information for students

Students should find their advisor as early as possible. Currently, the Division of Games does not have the correct ratio of faculty to student (although we are in the process of rectifying this), so it's critical for an honors student to get connected to an advisor as early as possible.
